 Uvasaggaharam Stotra Meaning in Hindi & English

उवसग्गहरं पासं, पासं वंदामि कम्म-घण मुक्कं ।

विसहर विस निन्नासं, मंगल कल्लाण आवासं ।।१।।

Hindi Meaning: मैं भगवान पार्श्वनाथ को नमन करता हूँ, जो सभी उपसर्गों (बाधाओं) को हरने वाले हैं, भारी कर्मों से मुक्त हैं, भयंकर विष (जहर) का नाश करने वाले हैं, और जो मंगल तथा कल्याण के निवास स्थान हैं।

English Meaning: I bow to Lord Parshvanath, who destroys all obstacles, who is free from heavy karmas, who destroys the deadliest poison, and who is the abode of auspiciousness and well-being.

Verse 2:

विसहर फुलिंग मंतं, कंठे धारेइ जो सया मणुओ ।

तस्स गह रोग मारी, दुट्ठ जरा जंति उवसामं ।।२।।

Hindi Meaning: जो मनुष्य 'विषहर फुलिंग' नामक मंत्र को हमेशा अपने कंठ में धारण करता है (याद रखता है), उसके सभी ग्रह दोष, रोग, महामारियां और भयंकर बुखार शांत हो जाते हैं।

English Meaning: Whoever constantly holds the 'Visahara Phulinga' mantra in their throat (memorizes and chants it), their planetary afflictions, diseases, epidemics, and terrible fevers are pacified.

Verse 3:

चिट्ठउ दुरे मंतो, तुज्झ पणामो वि बहु फलो होइ ।

नरतिरिएसु वि जीवा, पावंति न दुक्ख-दोगच्चं।।३।।

Hindi Meaning: मंत्र की बात तो दूर है, केवल आपको सच्चे मन से प्रणाम करने से ही बहुत बड़ा फल मिलता है। आपको प्रणाम करने वाले मनुष्य और पशु-पक्षी भी कभी दुःख और दरिद्रता (गरीबी) को प्राप्त नहीं होते।

English Meaning: Let the mantra stand aside; even sincerely bowing to you yields great fruits. Humans and animals who bow to you do not experience misery and wretchedness.

Verse 4:

तुह सम्मत्ते लद्धे, चिंतामणि कप्पपाय वब्भहिए ।

पावंति अविग्घेणं, जीवा अयरामरं ठाणं ।।४।।

Hindi Meaning: चिंतामणि रत्न और कल्पवृक्ष से भी महान, आपके सम्यक्त्व (सच्ची श्रद्धा) को प्राप्त करने से, जीव बिना किसी विघ्न (रुकावट) के अजर-अमर स्थान (मोक्ष) को प्राप्त कर लेते हैं।

English Meaning: By attaining true faith in you, which is superior to the Chintamani jewel and the wish-fulfilling tree, souls obtain the ageless and immortal state (liberation) without any hindrance.

Verse 5:

इअ संथुओ महायस, भत्तिभर निब्भरेण हियएण ।

ता देव! दिज्ज बोहिं, भवे भवे पास- जिणचंद ।।५।।

Hindi Meaning: हे महान यशस्वी! इस प्रकार भक्ति से भरे हुए हृदय से आपकी स्तुति की गई है। हे देव! हे पार्श्व जिन-चंद्र! मुझे जन्म-जन्मांतर (हर जन्म) में बोधि (सच्चा ज्ञान/सम्यक्त्व) प्रदान करें।

English Meaning: O highly glorious God! Thus praised with a heart full of devotion, O Parshva Jina-chandra, please grant me the right perception and true knowledge in every birth.
